Escape Game for Large Groups

Our escape game activity is along the lines of an escape rooms whose goal is to leave a room by solving different puzzles.Although these games are great, they are limited by small numbers of people at a time.  Our escape game  is a large capacity team building type activity,  that can easily accommodate up to 200 people.

To carry out your mission,  teams will each have a pack and will have to solve the many enigmas proposed to open the locks that protect the different compartments of it,  on the trail of our explorer.

Between action and reflection, manipulation and observation, everyone must bring their experience to the benefit of the team to be the fastest and win the victory!

With this activity you do not move in an escape room, but the escape that comes to you as we can run anywhere in Ireland.

The escape game animation requires only one table per team and can be set up in any type of space: conference room, office, lounge area, etc.

Creative Team Building – A unique 3D sculpture project stimulating individual and group participation

Creative team building with an initial discussion within each group regarding the theme begins the project, decisions are made on individual and group level about procedure of work, giving an opportunity for the flow of ideas to impact on the overall piece.

Participants begin by creating their own individual piece of work  using the materials provided. They have complete freedom to explore the medium and build a sculpture to fit the theme and overall group plan.

Using basic materials like cardboard, newspaper and paint , our professional artist will demonstrate various techniques used to achieve best results with the materials provided.

Darren Priest is our Career Coach. His coaching approach is evidence based and informed by his Certificate in Coaching Psychology and his Masters in Career Coaching (University of East London). This knowledge and experience allows Darren to adapt his coaching style and approach to meet the needs of each individual client and to support them in realising their true potential. Darren has a proven track record in bringing out the magic that he knows is within each and every client that comes to meet him. This can mean asking questions that challenge and even provoke clients towards new insights and changes in perspective thus opening up choices that were not previously evident to them. Darren’s Masters in Occupational Health Psychology* (University of Nottingham) further informs his approach to one-to-one coaching, enabling him to appreciate what can help individuals thrive in the workplace.

What is Soapbox crew?
A number of teams, working in separate areas, are each given the task of constructing a vehicle and developing a marketing concept for it. At the end, their karts are presented in a test drive and are put through an NCT to test them for safety. A versatile tool that puts the fun back into learning.

Collaboration and Communication are key

How It’s Done.
Each team is given the task of constructing a vehicle complete with brakes and steering system. Each kart should be capable of transporting one person and will be powered by up to two HP (Human Power). The vehicle will also need a logo and a slogan to go with it. One major sticking point in the task: the vehicles should be as similar in construction as possible, but differently equipped. During the development phase, the leaders of the construction teams meet in a separate area to talk everything through in detail. In the ‘Change’ variant, the teams work for a specific length of time on their vehicle and are then re-deployed to continue working on another team’s vehicle. The learning project culminates in the NCT inspection of the vehicle followed by a  vehicle parade.

The Box is a great indoor team building exercise.   It is perfect to accompany your team meeting or conference. We arrive with THE BOX full of games and puzzles which will energise and entertain your team. A fast paced event to stimulate the teams as they earn money by hiring materials from THE BOX and complete tasks set within time limits. Fail and the earnings go towards the other teams.

So how does it work? Each team must choose what activity they want to do based on how much money they have and  “buy” materials to do so. If the task is done correctly they earn money and then they choose another task to earn more money and so on.  Will a  team choose a low risk activity or will they risk it all with  difficult task? Bankruptcy or boom!

Gaolbreak Cork is an app-based game set in the fabulous historic building of Cork City Gaol.  Whilst exploring the cells, landings, governor’s office, exercise yard walls and more you make your escape.

Working in teams of 4-6 you make your way through the questions & tasks using our hi-tech app.  Speed is of the essence as your window for escape is short.  Problem solving and creativity are key in this light hearted event in this iconic building.

This is a 21st century take on a traditional quiz night.  It is app-based incorporating challenges and a treasure hunt which will spice up any conference or company social event.  Laughter all the way as you race to find the answers, work with props and other teams to gain the highest score. Tasks based on observation, problem solving, actions, creativity and interaction with other teams without having to leave your venue.

So how does it work?

Our Event Co-ordinator welcomes and briefs your group and then gives each team (typically 4 to 8 people) their tablet computer.We will  have placed intriguing images at key locations around your chosen event venue. Each image conceals a secret code word. Teams search for the correct image  and, when found, input the discovered code word into their tablet. A correct code word opens up a set of fun and interactive team challenges.

With rounds such as Camera, Replication, Ireland, Random, Riddles, Music – you’ve plenty to keep you entertained throughout this 2 hours event.

Afterwards we give you copies of the photos and videos the teams have taken as a memento of your event.

Team party games at their best.

Just a Minute is a series of high-energy tabletop group activities using everyday household items and office supplies. After a fun demo and practice session, each challenge is played and teams are scored accordingly. Great for daytime teambuilding or after dinner entertainment, this fast-paced event will have everyone laughing, cheering and vying to become Just a Minute champions.

After an energizing kick-off, your group will be divided into sub-teams and assigned to an activity station. Multiple rounds are played using a three-step system of demo, practice and competition. Teams are constantly engaged and focused on continuous improvement in an attempt to maximize their score.

Examples of challenges may include: Back Flip – tossing and catching an ever increasing number of pencils, Moving on Up – a fun cup stacking activity, Card Speed – a race to put a shuffled deck of cards in a specific sequence.  Our unique scoring system keeps the energy flowing and the teams in the thick of the competition throughout the entire event.

This is one of our most competitive teambuilding events and works as a perfect addition to any corporate or social gathering or as a stand-alone activity.

Our corporate race night bring all the excitement of a “Day at the Races” to your venue! This event is staffed by a professional compère and experienced tote staff. We use a large screen video projection system and high quality PA with horse racing video footage from various courses in the country including both jump and flat races.

Guests are invited to place bets with fun money, which can also be personalised to your company, as can the race cards.

Corporate race nights are fundamentally different to Fund Raising race nights, with no real money involved and we operate a format based strongly on fun and entertainment. Guests can bet individually or as teams, usually denoted by the table they are sitting at, and are all given fun money as the event opens. The person or team with the most money at the end of the event wins the prize!

Before our corporate race night starts our compère and tote sellers will introduce themselves to the guests, before handing out the fun money and branded race cards.

The race cards contain instructions but the compère will also verbally explain the format to the guests. Once the formalities are over and the form guide perused, the odds are announced and the bets are placed at the tote booths.

When the race finishes the winners will go to the tote booths and collect their winnings. A typical Corporate Race Night has four to eight races and lasts for around 2 hours.

At the end of the event the team will the most fun money are the winners, prizes are awarded to the top scoring teams! Race Nights are just one of the many types of Fun Evening Entertainment that we can offer.

This is a fun team-based event that provides a great lead-in to a celebratory evening meal; an ideal ending to a team meeting, away day or conference.

Our wine tasting starts with a light-hearted introduction to the art of wine tasting.We quickly move onto the wine tasting itself with participants working in small teams – 3, 4 or 5 per team is ideal – trying each wine in turn.

The format of the wine-tasting is that of a typical “pub-quiz” but with our interactive APP based challenges on 7″ tablets, branded with your company logo, with each group having a limited time to taste and decide upon their answers for each wine. There are typically four rounds – reds, quickfire wine quiz, whites, and match the price with the wine. We select good quality wines representing major grape varieties and wine producing regions from around the world. All wines tasted are readily available from good wine merchants so if you have a particular favourite you’ll be able to get hold a case or two! We maintain a quick pace – the laughter and noise builds as the tasting progresses!

At the end of the wine tasting, we quickly score up and award prizes to the top- scoring teams – this could involve participants selecting a favourite wine from all those tasted or selecting a wine prize such as designer corkscrew.

The wine tasting typically lasts about an hour and a half. All wines are provided and, perhaps uniquely to our wine-tasting event, we allow all guests to choose how much (or how little) they want of each wine. No stingy pre-poured measures here! You can even have a bit more of a wine that particularly takes your fancy.

The wine tasting event is ideal as a stand alone team event or to follow one of our other team building activities.

Dublin Zoo Treasure Hunt

Our Dublin Zoo Treasure Hunt around this famous Dublin icon, is a great team building event. App or paper based, stroll round to complete the challenges,  taking in the flora and fauna from around the world. Your only task is to earn points by getting the questions right.

You will be tested on your general knowledge, observation, problem solving, interaction with other visitors and you get to see some fantastic animals too of course. You’ll learn some interesting facts along the way. Not to mention all the great selfies and videos you get to take!

Code Hunt is an app-based flexible challenge designed to get the best out of teams, to sharpen their competitive edge and allow them to have a lot of fun doing it.  It is a great way for people to familiarise themselves with new or renovated venues as the search for codes can be adapted to specific areas meaning that teams are forced into finding the most logical and direct routes as they race to find codes and answer question.

But it is not all about speed, the old grey matter will be required to discover the codes before the legs engage.   The more codes you find, the greater the chance of answering more questions and beating your colleagues!

Movie Making brings out your creative spirit; it is fun, exciting and always gives a fantastic day with entertaining results. We provide all of the professional equipment required to create a high quality film – you provide the creativity and performance.

The Event Format

Your group is divided into teams who will then work out what role they want to play. There is then a planning stage where teams will come up with a theme (or this can be pre-arranged) for their movie and create a storyboard of scenes/shots that they want to film.

Groups write, rehearse, select props and costumes… then filming begins. Depending on the venue, you will usually have the ability to shoot in different areas of the venue and the more creative you can be, the more impressive the end result.

The movie’s will be self edited as you shoot so that all films can be watched and judged at the end of the event. We will then send you copies of your films post-event.

Film Makers’ Award Ceremony

If you have the budget, you may decide to combine film making with a themed Oscars Ceremony. Tearful acceptance speeches are required as the independent panel of expert judges hand out awards such as…

A great alternative to Target Archery. Field Archery combines walking around a course and shooting a multitude of targets. It takes place in our woodland near Bandon or certain partner hotels. Targets are placed on a circuit (course) and competitors move in small groups from target to target, each varying in distance.Each target has a varying number of pegs that competitors shoot from according to the rules of the competition.

Laser Clay Shooting. Are you an experienced marksman or have you never picked up a gun before? It doesn’t matter you’ll love this sport.

These are REAL shotguns that have been re-modelled to fire nothing more than an infrared beam at clays launched from a traditional clay launcher. The Result… all the excitement of a traditional clay pigeon shoot without any of the associated dangers.

Clay Shooting can be run as an individual or team event at any of our preferred sites in Cork or we can come to you, anywhere nationwide, if you have a suitable location we can use.

VROOMMM!! is a lively team event where each team will be issued with both a ‘tool box’ and the raw materials required to construct a Grand Prix winning Mean Machine.

The teams will have a 40 minute construction period during which different team members will be able to take charge of different aspects of the challenge such as suspension, aesthetics and the engine.

At the end of the set construction period the teams will be cajoled into a period of testing and fine tuning before racing their machines.

During the Big Race, each team will be judged by the Teambuild Constructors on distance travelled and the design of their roadster. Teams will go 2 at a time and the leader will be updated after each bout.

This final race serves as a hilarious grand finale to an energized and refreshing hour of team building.

Our classes which have been running for a number of years now, are a fun and informative way of learning more about cooking styles and techniques. Each class is designed around a three course dinner with wines especially chosen to suit each of the dishes being served and prepared by yourselves.

The evenings, which run from September to April in a superb West Cork restaurant, opens up with a cocktail reception followed by an introduction from our chef who explains the format for the class. You and your class mates go into the kitchen being shown how to prepare the first of the evenings dishes, then retiring back to the restaurant to be served the fruits of your labours along with the chosen wines. The evenings then continues in the same vein through the second and third courses all the time being guided by our creative chefs into the whys and wherefores of cooking.

After much banter and a fair old craic everyone winds down with coffees, satisfied that we have all had great time and have taken your first steps on the road to a kitchen supremo!

Drumming workshop is a natural Team Building activity. It’s fun, and both relaxing and creatively stimulating at the same time.

It takes people out of their heads and literally into their hands, feet and other senses.

The drumming workshop  starts by introducing the basic hand techniques we need and quickly moves into fun rhythm games like Call and Response, Mexican Wave etc. These build confidence and trust.

Then, as the participants start to gain confidence and sound better and better, we begin to build a more complex layered rhythm with the group.

Each sub group performs a different simple rhythm that interlocks to create an impressive overall piece.

Typically individuals feel a great sense of uplift and empowerment as they hear the full rhythm emerge from the individual parts.

A perfect analogy for the team as an organisation of different people working together toward a common goal.

The rhythms we choose are engaging, mesmerising and uplifting.

This is collaborative team building at it’s best. Teams have to work together to pass objects to each other through a series of pipes, tubes, sticks etc. Sounds simple does it? You have to stay within your zone though and will soon discover there are some countries that will refuse to work with you or will want raw materials in return. Political disputes, old empires, double dealing, economic instability and tight deadlines all add to the mayhem. With good communication, teamwork and perhaps a little slick negotiation, it can be done.

Your team walks into the room which we’ve divided into countries and you’re given the task of building an energy pipeline across the world. With many counties willing to help you, you face the hardship of those countries that won’t.

We act as the UN, chairing meetings, dealing with conflict resolution and perhaps the release of prisoners.
