Song Writing – Embrace the power of music with this creative experience.
Aine and Victoria are both very accomplished musicians and songwriters. They have had their music playlisted by RTE and have received critical acclaim from artists as diverse as Ron Sexsmith and Christy Moore. They work very well together with high energy and great humour.
Workshops are based around creativity. They aim to resound the inner (and outer!) critic, and in doing so, resound our beliefs about creativity.
The song writing workshops are huge fun! Aine and Victoria get people writing and creating in a very fun and buzzy way. The aim per workshop is to write, finish and record a song with everyone involved. They work on the premise that there are no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ ideas, just ideas.
Clients get very fired up with this unique view and method! The workshops are tailored to each group. Things tend to start shyly then get crazy pretty quickly! Anyone who plays an instrument is encouraged to bring it along.
There is a short concert afterwards with everyone who wants to take part; anyone who doesn’t can be the audience! There is no pressure to perform. But it’s always wonderful to end our time together singing the song that was created during the workshop. Everyone gets a recording to take home. The workshops provide an intensely creative space and are really uplifting and rewarding.
Aine and Victoria aim to facilitate a three hour song writing workshop exploring how our own personal stories can resonate universally. They will show how these stories can be accessed through the creation of song. Aine and Victoria believe that everyone can write a song, and with their experience of song writing workshops they are certain that there is magic in a creative collective. This benefits everyone, even people who have no musical experience whatsoever.. The workshops are set up to accommodate group collaboration. Aine and Victoria have an easy and relaxed approach which encourages participation. Their workshops are fun and dynamic.
There are well documented health benefits of using music in a creative way, and it is an easy portal into the arts, and is accessible to everyone. A group setting is ideal to allow for an exciting exchange of ideas and stories.

Second Half: Fine tuning performance, working out harmonies etc and recording.
